Pastor search committees’ best opportunities for effective ministry take place after the candidate is selected. Unfortunately, most search committees cease to function too abruptly.
As I have noted in previous posts on this topic, not all churches use a pastor search committee to call a pastor. Still, I hope some of these suggestions could be applied in any context.
