[Christianity Today] 13 May 2009--Notice any changes in your church over the past several years? If your church is typical, it has gone through major changes over the past decade. There are significant internal and external forces reshaping churches both in America and worldwide. Many older church members are not comfortable with some of the changes being experienced. Yet, many of changes are trends, and not just fads, which mean they will be with us for some time. Instead of “exiting door right,” older members of our congregations should learn to focus on the substance being presented and not be distracted by the difference in presentation style. In fact, there is much to give and much to receive with the changes sweeping through our local churches.
